Angus Golf Tours - Scottish Golfing Holidays

There are eight links courses in the County of Angus each with its own individuality and each a difficult and severe test of links golf with narrow fairways, deep pot bunkers, heavy rough, ditches, gorse bushes, fast greens, and of course the relentless wind. Carnoustie Championship Course is the most famous of the eight and is a truly magnificent golf course. It is perhaps the most severe test of links golf to be found in the world.

Montrose Medal Golf CourseGolfers who prefer parkland or heathland courses are spoilt for choice with a plethora of tranquil and scenic courses which Dundee and the surrounding County of Angus has to offer. It is truly a golfer’s paradise. Many of these courses are off the beaten track and are true gems set in the beautiful Scottish countryside and really must be visited. Golf tours will be from Monday - Friday

Most of the golf courses which you visit will require some proof that you have some ability to play golf either in the form of a handicap certificate or a letter from your club. Golf clubs only refund money if the course is closed due to very bad weather and flooding, not because it is raining.

You would have to be prepared to play golf in all weathers. A good set of waterproofs is essential and an extra pair of shoes would be necessary. Saying all that the sun does shine very often and regardless of the weather the whole area is a golfer’s paradise.

This is a great opportunity for people of all ages or gender to come together and play golf, speak golf and to think about golf. Don’t be afraid if you are on your own because playing partners can be arranged if necessary – and never let age or gender be a hindrance.

Lady Golfer Teeing Off Angus ScotlandIf you don’t play golf but have always wanted to, golf lessons can be arranged for you over 5 days. This again would be pretty intensive and expensive and a degree of fitness would be required. The PGA Professional would also be able to give you advice on the correct gear and the best equipment for your needs. This will be expensive in the first instance but if it is becomes your hobby it is well worth it.

The type of accommodation offered is from B&B to four star and will be of your choice and where possible will be within easy reach of the golf courses you wish to play.

We operate from Dundee in the North East of Scotland which sits on the majestic River Tay. It is Scotland’s fourth largest city with a population of around 160,000 and is surrounded by the beautiful County of Angus with its rugged cliffs and views over the North Sea on the one hand and the serenity of rolling hills, sparkling rivers and lovely glens on the other.
